TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that, with a reasonable degree of certainty,
the financial results for the current reporting period will differ by at least 20% from the financial results
of the previous corresponding period.
SPAR is in the process of finalising their results for the six months ended 31 March 2015 (“Results”)
and shareholders are accordingly advised that the Company expects to report:
- headline earnings per share to be between 20% and 25% higher (between 446.4 cents and
465.0 cents per share) than the 372.0 cents per share for the previous corresponding period;
and
- earnings per share to be between 20% and 25% higher (between 446.5 cents and 465.1
cents per share) compared to the 372.1 cents per share for the previous corresponding
period.
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company’s auditors. The
Company’s Results are expected to be published on or about 20 May 2015.
