Appointment of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director
In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings
Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are advised that
after following an appropriate recruitment process, the Board
of Directors (Board) has approved the appointment of Mr Dean
Subramanian as Chief Financial Officer and executive director
of the Board with effect from 1 August 2015.
Mr Subramanian holds a Bachelors of Accountancy degree, an
Honours degree in Accounting Science and is a qualified
Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
He has had 21 years working experience in the retail,
air transport, property management and construction
industries. This includes having more than eleven years’
experience in various positions at Aveng Limited.
His current position is that of Finance Executive for the
Steel Cluster of Aveng Limited.
Mr Subramanian is well qualified and has the necessary
experience and understanding of the steel industry to fulfill
the role of Chief Financial Officer at ArcelorMittal South
Africa Limited effectively.
The board congratulates Mr Subramanian on his appointment and
looks forward to his contribution.
