APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN
In terms of section 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements,
shareholders are advised that Michael Lewis has been appointed as
independent non-executive chairman with effect from today 19 June
2015. As part of planned succession, Michael was recently
appointed as deputy chairman and has now assumed the position of
chairman following the resignation of David Nurek. David has had a
long association with the company, having served on the board since
1990 and in the capacity of chairman since 2009 and we would like
to thank him for his contribution over many years.
Michael has served on the board since 1989 and his appointment as
chairman receives the unanimous support of the board which believes
that he is well placed to steer the group forward, particularly due
to his broad international retail and business experience.
