SALE OF ATLANTIS FOUNDRIES (PTY) LIMITED SHARES
As part of the Daimler AG (“DAG”) global strategy that contained
objectives related to structural optimization DAG and Mercedes-Benz
South Africa Limited (“MBSA”) sought a strategic partner in the
foundry business to whom Atlantis Foundries (Pty) Ltd (“AF”) could be
sold. DAG wishes to focus on core activities and divest itself of
non-core activities.
As a result of the aforementioned strategic considerations MBSA
concluded a sale of 100% of its shares in AF to Neue Halberg-Guss
GmbH (“NHG”) on the 30th June 2015.
