The Company was notified on 1 October 2015 that on 30 September 2015 Mr Giovanni
Giordano, a person discharging managerial responsibility, acquired 212 British American
Tobacco p.l.c. shares (the “Shares”) following the exercise of options held under the British
American Tobacco Sharesave Scheme at an option price of 2,536.00 pence per Share. Mr
Giordano subsequently sold 212 Shares at a price of 3,622.675 pence per Share.
Following this transaction, Mr Giordano has a total beneficial and family interest in 33,396
Shares (including 22,942 Deferred Shares).
