The Company was notified on 10 May 2016 that on 5 May 2016 Mr Johan Vandermeulen, a
person discharging managerial responsibilities, acquired three ordinary shares of 25p each
in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) at a price of 4,179.9803 pence per Share
as a result of the reinvestment of his dividend income.
Following this transaction, Mr Vandermeulen has a total beneficial and family interest in
17,770 Shares (including 17,443 Deferred Shares).
