APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements
of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”), shareholders are
advised of the appointment of Marie-Aurélie Girard as an
independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
Girard completed her BA, LLB at the University of the
Witwatersrand. After completing her articles at Deneys Reitz
Attorneys, she practised at Fluxman Rabinowitz - Raphaely
Weiner until 1998 before joining SwissRe Southern Africa as
its legal advisor, claims manager and company secretary. After
rejoining Fluxmans Attorneys in 2001, Girard ventured back
into commerce by joining Steinhoff International as Director
of Legal Services. After 6 years at Steinhoff, she started
GirardHayward Inc where she remains as a founding partner.
