In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the board of
directors of Santam Limited ("the Board") hereby notifies its shareholders that Mr Clement Burns
Booth will resign as Non-Executive Director with effect from 30 May 2016. Mr Booth has served on
the Board since July 2015. Management and the Board take this opportunity of thanking him for his
dedicated contribution to the Group during the period of his tenure as director. Mr Booth will
continue to support the Santam Group with various projects. We wish him continued success in the
future.
