UPDATE REGARDING INTERWASTE’S FG LANDFILL SITE
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on the Stock Exchange News
Service on Wednesday, 8 June 2016, regarding a compliance notice, issued by the
Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD), which required
the cessation of operations at Interwaste (Pty) Ltd’s FG Landfill site by 22 June 2016.
Today the office of the State Attorney confirmed that GDARD will not oppose Interwaste
(Pty) Ltd’s urgent application for an order suspending the compliance notice.
A High Court application for the review and setting aside of the compliance notice will be
heard in due course.
Interwaste reiterates that the issue at hand is administrative in nature and is in no way
related to operations at the landfill, which will continue as normal.
Shareholders will be advised of any further developments.
