Moody’s upgrades Anglo American plc (‘AA plc’) ratings to
Ba2/Ba2-PD from Ba3/Ba3-PD.
In accordance with paragraph 4.26 of the JSE Debt Listings
Requirements, noteholders are advised that Moody’s has upgraded
the senior unsecured ratings and probability of default ratings
of AA plc and its subsidiaries to Ba2/Ba2-PD from Ba3/Ba3-PD.
Concurrently, Moody’s upgraded the company’s national scale
rating (‘NSR’) to A3.za from Baa2.za and upgraded the short term
NSR to P-2.za from P-3.za. AA plc is the Guarantor under Anglo
American SA Finance Ltd’s ZAR20bn DMTN Programme.
