QUARTERLY UPDATE
Shareholders are referred to the:
- previous cautionary announcements, the last of which was dated 20 October 2016; and
- SENS announcement dated 29 July 2016, relating to the voluntary suspension of the Company’s shares on the JSE Limited (“JSE”) (“the Suspension”).
In line with paragraph 1(10)(c) of the JSE Listings Requirements, the Company is obliged to give an
update to the market of the state of affairs of the Company until the Suspension is lifted.
The board of directors of MRI (“the Board”) is pleased to advise that a potential investor has signed
agreements with Stellar Capital Partners Limited (“Stellar Capital”), a major shareholder and creditor of
the Company, to acquire Stellar Capital’s interests in the Company, comprising shares in and claims
against MRI. Settlement in relation to these agreements is anticipated to take place by the end of
October 2016, at which time full details will be released on SENS. This potential investor has also
entered into discussions with the Company’s other material creditors with the intention of settling certain
of MRI’s outstanding obligations and effecting a recapitalisation of its business.
The Board is not able to give a clear indication at this stage as to when the Suspension will be lifted.
