AMENDMENT TO THE DIVIDEND DECLARATION PURSUANT TO THE INCREASE IN
THE DIVIDEND WITHHOLDING TAX RATE
Shareholders are referred to the increase in Dividend Withholding Tax from 15% to 20% as
announced by the Minister of Finance, Mr Pravin Gordhan, in his budget speech on 22
February 2017 and are advised that as the increase is effective immediately it will affect the
dividend declared by Transpaco on 22 February 2017, which is payable on Monday, 20
March 2017.
The following revised information relating to the payment of the interim dividend of 48 cents
per share for the six months ended 31 December 2016 is accordingly disclosed:
- the local Dividend Tax rate is 20%
- the gross local dividend amount is 48 cents per share for shareholders exempt from
Dividend Tax
- the net dividend amount is 38.40000 cents for shareholders liable for Dividend Tax
