Rating Agency: Moody’s Investors Service Ltd (‘Moody’s’)
Moody’s upgrades Anglo American plc (‘AA plc’) ratings to
Ba1/Ba1-PD from Ba2/Ba2-PD.
In accordance with paragraph 4.26 of the JSE Debt Listings
Requirements, noteholders are advised that Moody’s has upgraded
the senior unsecured ratings and probability of default ratings
of AA plc and its subsidiaries to Ba1/Ba1-PD from Ba2/Ba2-PD.
Concurrently, Moody’s upgraded the company’s national scale
rating (‘NSR’) to A1.za/P-1.za from A3.za/P-2.za. AA plc is the
Guarantor under Anglo American SA Finance Ltd’s ZAR20bn DMTN
Programme.
