Production report for the first quarter ended 31 March 2017
Merafe's attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore Merafe
Chrome Venture (the Venture) for the first quarter of 2017 increased by 10%
compared to the comparative period. This increase is primarily attributable
to improved performances and efficiencies across the Venture’s furnaces
coupled with the restarting of Rustenburg furnace 5 in the second half of
2016.
