A PROPOSED INVESTMENT INTO FAIRVEST BY A BROAD-BASED BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
CONSORTIUM AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are advised that Fairvest has reached consensus with a broad-based black economic
empowerment consortium (“the Consortium”) on the basis on which the Consortium will subscribe for
Fairvest shares.
The proposed transaction is subject to the conclusion of detailed transaction agreements, which will
provide for conditions precedent including inter alia the necessary approvals of the shareholders of
Fairvest.
Pending further announcement of the detail of the proposed transaction, Fairvest shareholders are
advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
