APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, the board of directors
of Dis-Chem (“the Board”) hereby advises that Mr Mahomed Gani has, with effect from 3 May 2017, been
appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. He will be a member of the Audit
and Risk Committee as well as the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Mr Gani is a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years’ experience in the accounting and auditing
profession. He was a founding partner of Saboor Gani & Co, MSGM Masuku Jeena Inc and a partner of
PwC Inc until his retirement in June 2013. He is a non- executive director on a number of boards including
Basil Read Holdings Limited, Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited and Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited.
He is also a member of the Investigations Committee of the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors.
The Board extends a warm welcome to Mr Gani and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
