TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as
they become reasonably certain that the financial results for
the period to be reported on next will differ by more than 20%
from those of the previous corresponding period.
Afdawn hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty
exists that:
- the basic loss per share will be between 52.44 and 58.74
cents per share, which equates to an increase of between
66% and 86% for the period ended 28 February 2017, compared
to the restated loss of 31.52* cents per share reported in
the previous period ended 29 February 2016; and
- the headline loss per share will be between 36.94 and 43.25
cents per share, which equates to an increase of between
17% and 37% for the period ended 28 February 2017, compared
to the restated headline loss of 31.52* cents per share
reported in the previous period ended 29 February 2016.
The financial information on which this trading statement is
based has not been reviewed and reported on by Afdawn?s external
auditors. The financial results for the period ended 28 February
2017 will be published on or about 31 May 2017.
*Based on a restated loss and headline loss per share taking into
account the share consolidation which occurred on a 40 to 1
basis, implemented on Monday, 5 December 2016.
