(OMLACSA) Insurance Financial Strength (IFS) rating was
downgraded to ‘Baa2’, from ‘Baa1’, with negative outlook. The
rating action concludes the review for downgrade that
commenced on 4 April 2017 and follows Moody’s downgrade of the
long-term issuer and senior unsecured ratings of the
government of South Africa to Baa3 from Baa2, with negative
outlook. The rating is effective from June 12, 2017.
