CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Shareholders are advised that Khetiwe McClain has been appointed as an independent non-executive director
of the Company with effect from Monday, 26 June 2017.
Khetiwe (BA (Fine Arts)) served as executive chairperson and later as chief executive officer of Alexkor
Limited. She was the founder and executive director of an all-women’s company, Khusela Women
Investments Proprietary Limited, where she successfully established a junior coal mining company. Prior to
this she held a number of senior executive roles at various mining companies. She was an external member of
the Development Agency and Support Steering Committee for the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC),
the government-backed development finance institution and an executive director at Harmony Gold Mining
Company Limited. Khetiwe holds a number of board positions on mining and mining related companies and
is currently the chief executive officer of Closure and Rehabilitation Solutions Proprietary Limited.
