TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the of the JSE Limited’s Listings Requirements, a company is
required to publish a trading statement when it is reasonably certain that its results will differ by
more than 20% over the corresponding reporting period.
We hereby advise that for the 12 months ended 30 June 2017, earnings per share ("EPS") and
headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) are expected to decrease by between 18% and 23%,
resulting in EPS of between 256 and 270 cents and HEPS of between 254 cents and 267 cents
per share as compared with EPS 332.7 cents and HEPS 330.1 cents per share for the
comparative period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company’s auditors.
Shareholders are advised that the results for the twelve months ended 30 June 2017 are
scheduled to be released on SENS on or about 23 August 2017.
