S&P has upgraded the Anglo American plc (‘AA plc’) rating to
BBB- with a Stable outlook.
In accordance with paragraph 4.26 of the JSE Debt Listings
Requirements, noteholders are advised that S&P has upgraded the
senior unsecured ratings of AA plc and its subsidiaries to BBB-
and revised the outlook to stable from positive. Concurrently,
S&P upgraded the company’s national scale rating (‘NSR’) to
zaAAA from zaA+. AA plc is the Guarantor under Anglo American SA
Finance Ltd’s R20bn DMTN Programme.
