VOLUNTARY TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2017
Shareholders are advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists regarding the Company?s earnings for
the six months ended 31 August 2017. The Company would therefore like to voluntarily disclose the
following expected movement in financial results in terms of 3.4(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements.
The Company expects earnings per share (?EPS?) to be between 100.5 cents and 105.4 cents per share
(2016: 97.6 cents per share) reflecting an increase of between 3% and 8% on the previous period.
The Company expects headline earnings per share (?HEPS?) to be between 100.0 cents and 104.7 cents
per share (2016: 95.2 cents per share) reflecting an increase of between 5% and 10% on the previous
period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed by the Company?s
auditors. The Company?s financial results will be released on or about 2 November 2017.
