APPOINTMENT OF LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
The board of directors of Metair (the “Board”) is committed to adhering to good corporate
governance procedures, as it relates to the recommendations set forth in the King IV Report on
Corporate Governance for South Africa, 2016 (“King IV”).
In the process of updating and finalising the charter of the Board and its committees to adhere to
King IV recommendations, the Company is pleased to announce the following change to the
function of an independent non-executive Board member.
Mr J.G. Best has been appointed as the lead independent director of the Company, with effect
from 30 November 2017, and to act in this capacity for the next 12 months.
