VOLUNTARY SUSPENSION OF SECURITIES LISTED ON THE JSE
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on
SENS on Friday, 15 June 2018 advising that Basil Read Limited
("Basil Read"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Basil Read
Holdings, which houses the Construction Division has
commenced with voluntary business rescue proceedings as
provided for by section 129 of the Companies Act 71 of 2008.
There is uncertainty in terms of the impact of the voluntary
business rescue proceedings instituted at Basil Read Limited,
on the Basil Read Holdings Limited Group as listed on the
JSE.
The Company has applied to the JSE, in terms of paragraph
1.10 of the JSE Listings Requirements for the voluntary
suspension of the listing of its securities until such time
as the effect on the listed group can be quantified, with
immediate effect.
