APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, the board of directors of
Gold Brands (“the Board”) hereby advises its shareholders of the appointment of Mr Rowan Fortuin as an
independent non-executive director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee with immediate effect.
Rowan holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Hons) from the University of South Africa. He served his
SAICA articles with Moore Stephens CJL, is a member of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants
and holds the designation Associate General Accountant – AGA (SA). Rowan is the CEO and founder of
Fortuin Accountancy Services, a start-up accounting firm, was previously the Head of Finance of Gulfstream
Energy, a disruptive emerging oil company, and also held distinctive managerial roles at Avis Car Rental.
Rowan is a seasoned senior finance executive with a strong managerial background and over 20 years
working experience in the disciplines of accounting, auditing and taxation.
The Board welcomes Rowan and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
