S&P GLOBAL RATINGS
Notice is hereby given in terms of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited that S&P Global
Ratings (S&P) has on 2 July 2018 raised its national scale ratings on South Africa's financial institutions
so that these are no longer classified as being under criteria observation (UCO). As a result of this
change, Absa Bank’s national scale rating was raised to zaAA+ from zaAA-.
