RETIREMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: DR BILL VENTER
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are
advised that Dr WP Venter, Chairman Emeritus and the founder of Altron 53 years ago,
has taken the decision to retire as non-executive director of the Altron Board, with effect
from 31 July 2018.
The Board, on behalf of the Altron group, takes this opportunity to sincerely thank Dr
Venter for the important and central role he has played in the development of the South
African electronics industry and the South African economy as a whole. The Board
furthermore expresses its utmost gratitude to Dr Venter for his entrepreneurial skills,
leadership and significant contribution brought to Altron over the years.
Dr Venter has confirmed his confidence in the Board and its leadership and wishes all
concerned much success. He remains a significant shareholder of Altron.
The Board wishes Dr Venter the very best for the future as Altron continues its growth
as a leading ICT group.
