NOTICE TO BONDHOLDERS REGARDING THE RELEASE OF THE JOINT ANNOUNCEMENT IN RESPECT
OF THE SANLAM EMERGING MARKETS IRELAND LIMITED TRANSACTION
Bondholders are referred to the joint announcements released by the Issuer and Sanlam Limited on
SENS on 3 March 2018 and 11 October 2018, in respect of the acquisition of a further interest in Saham
Finances S.A. via the indirect acquisition of the remaining 53.37% shareholding not already owned by
Sanlam Emerging Markets Ireland Limited (“the Transaction”) and Santam’s subsequent
announcement on 30 August 2018 confirming its participation in the Transaction.
Bondholders are advised that the announcement as released on 11 October 2018 confirmed that all
of conditions precedent relating to the Transaction have now been fulfilled, the closing process
completed and the effective date of the Transaction is 10 October 2018.
