VOLUNTARY TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 31 AUGUST 2018
Shareholders are advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists regarding the Company’s earnings for
the six months ended 31 August 2018. The directors would therefore wish to voluntarily disclose the
following expected movement in financial results in terms of 3.4(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements.
The Company expects earnings per share (“EPS”) and headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) to be between
92 cents and 97 cents per share (2017: EPS of 102.4 cents per share and HEPS of 102.2 cents per share),
reflecting a decrease of between 5% and 11% on the previous period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed by the Company’s
auditors. The Company’s financial results will be released on or about 1 November 2018.
