RAILWAY SERVICE PROVIDER TERMINATES FORCE MAJEURE
Afrimat is pleased to inform shareholders and update the market of a notice received from the
Company’s railway service provider. The Sishen-Saldanha line was re-opened on 7 December 2018,
two days earlier than expected, resulting in the termination of force majeure declared on 29 November
2018.
The newly constructed railway line passed all technical assessments and all operations on the line have
resumed. The Company would like to thank Transnet for their prompt response in ensuring minimal
impact to the business. Afrimat’s CEO, Andries van Heerden, commended Transnet on the professional
execution of the project.
