FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the detailed cautionary announcement released on SENS on 26 October
2018, and the update thereto on 07 December 2018, wherein Wescoal announced that it had joined a
consortium led by private equity firm, Ata Resources Coal Investments Proprietary Limited, to acquire
the entire issued, and to be issued, ordinary share capital of Universal Coal Plc, a company listed on
the Australian Securities Exchange.
Shareholders are advised that negotiations regarding the conclusion of detailed transaction
agreements are still in progress which, if successfully concluded, may have a material effect on the
price of the Company's securities. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to continue exercising caution
when dealing in the Company's securities until a full announcement is made.
