Following the recent appointment of Terry Duddy as the Interim Chairman of Debenhams plc, the
Board of the Company and Terry have mutually agreed that with immediate effect Terry will step
down as a Non-Executive Director and the Senior Independent Director of the Company.
Terry has recently completed nine years' service on the Board of Directors and, in accordance
with the Company's normal approach, it had been expected that he would step down at the
Company AGM in April 2019.
Gwyn Burr has been appointed to act as the Company's new Senior Independent Director with
immediate effect. The Company is in the advanced stages of the search for a new Non-Executive
Director and an announcement will be made in due course.
