CHANGE IN CLASSIFICATION OF A DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, the board of directors of
Cognition (?the Board?) hereby notifies its shareholders that it has undertaken an assessment of the
independence of current non-executive director, Mr Trevor Ahier, in accordance with the King Code on
Corporate Governance for South Africa and has determined that he meets the independence requirements
set out therein. Accordingly, Mr Ahiers? classification has been changed to that of an independent non-
executive director, with immediate effect.
