UPDATED TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, a listed company is required to publish a
trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain that the financial results for the
next period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the financial results for the
previous corresponding period.
Further to the trading statement released on SENS on 14 March 2019, shareholders are
hereby advised that for the six-month period ended 31 March 2019, Quantum Foods expects:
- headline earnings per share of between 43.0 cents and 48.0 cents, being a decrease
of between 42% and 48% compared to the headline earnings of 82.50 cents per share
for the previous corresponding period; and
- basic earnings per share of between 42.8 cents and 47.8 cents, being a decrease of
between 42% and 48% when compared to the basic earnings per share of 82.4 cents
in the previous corresponding period.
The results for the six months ended 31 March 2019 is expected to be published on SENS on
or about 23 May 2019.
The financial information on which this trading update is based, has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company´s external auditors.
