RETIREMENT OF CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER
In terms of section 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, shareholders are
advised that Mr Aboubakar Jakoet will be retiring from his position as Chief
Finance Officer of the Pick n Pay Group. Bakar has agreed to remain as Chief
Finance Officer until a successor has been appointed. The board of directors is
finalising the appointment of a successor and shareholders will be updated in
due course.
The board extends its most sincere thanks and appreciation to Bakar for his
dedication, diligence and commitment to Pick n Pay throughout his 34-year
career. After he retires from his executive position, Bakar will continue to
contribute to Pick n Pay by serving in a non-executive capacity on the board.
