APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the Johannesburg
Stock Exchange, the Board of SOH is pleased to announce the appointment of the
following directors to the Board of SOH with effect from 28 June 2019:
Chieh - Fu (Jeff) Chen (Non-executive director)
Melanie Chong (Independent non-executive director)
Jen - Hao (Kevin) Yeh (Independent non-executive director)
Chi - Ying (Joe) Wu will relinquish his role as a director of the Company and will be
appointed Jeff Chen's alternate with effect from 28 June 2019.
Mr Chen has had many years of experience in the electric cable industry. Mr Chen is
a director of various companies listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange including
Hong-Tai Electric Industrial Co. Ltd which is a major shareholder in the Company.
Ms Chong is a Chartered Accountant and has previously been involved in corporate
governance, risk management, compliance, accounting and credit management.
Melanie is also a BEE consultant as well as being involved in executive management.
Ms Chong was previously a director and Chairperson of the Audit and Risk
Management Committee, Remuneration Committee and Social and Ethics
Committee and member of the Nomination Committee of SOH.
Mr Yeh has a Bachelor of Science degree and has had 22 years of experience in
actuarial and financial planning in the financial services sector. Mr Yeh was
previously a director of SOH
The directors welcome Mr Chen, Ms Chong and Mr Yeh to the Board of SOH.
