NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3)(b) OF THE COMPANIES ACT (ACT 71 OF 2008) AND
PARAGRAPH 3.83(b) OF THE JSE LIMITED LISTINGS REQUIREMENTS – DISPOSAL OF SECURITIES
Shareholders are advised that the Company has received formal notification in the prescribed form
that the clients of The Capital Group Companies, Inc. ("Capital Group Companies clients") have, in
aggregate, disposed of an interest in the ordinary share capital of Dis-Chem, such that the total
interest in the ordinary share capital of the Company held by Capital Group Companies clients now
amounts to 4.9161% of the total issued ordinary share capital of Dis-Chem.
The Company has notified the Takeover Regulation Panel of the above in accordance with its
obligations under section 122 of the Companies Act.
