Johannesburg, Monday, 19 August 2019. Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited
("Harmony" and/or "the Company") regrets to advise that one of its employees
tragically succumbed to his injuries following a surface rail locomotive related
accident at its Doornkop gold plant, in Gauteng, on Sunday morning.
"Harmony management wish to express their deepest condolences to the deceased
employee's family, friends and colleagues," said Peter Steenkamp, chief
executive officer of Harmony.
Harmony is working closely with the relevant authorities to carry out the
investigation.
