TRADING STATEMENT AND CHANGE IN TRANSFER SECRETARY
Trading Statement
The Sun International group ("the Group") is currently finalising its financial results for the half-year
period ended 30 June 2019, which are expected to be released on the Stock Exchange News Service
of the JSE Limited ("SENS") on or about Monday, 2 September 2019.
Shareholders are advised that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the Company's:-
• basic earnings per share for the financial half year ended 30 June 2019 is expected to be a
profit of between 126 cents per share (16%) and 137 cents per share (26%) compared against
the prior corresponding period's profit of 109 cents per share;
• headline earnings per share for the financial half year ended 30 June 2019 is expected to be a
profit of between 121 cents per share (-2%) and 134 cents per share (9%) compared against
the prior corresponding period's headline earnings profit of 123 cents per share; and
• adjusted diluted headline earnings per share is expected to be a profit of between 131 cents
per share (25%) and 142 cents per share (35%) against the prior corresponding period's profit
of 105 cents per share.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by Sun International's external auditor.
Change in Transfer Secretary
Shareholders are further advised that the Company has appointed Link Market Services South Africa
(Pty) Ltd ("Link") as its transfer secretary with effect from 1 October 2019.
