CHANGE OF LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
In keeping with its non-executive director succession planning, Imperial
wishes to advised shareholders that Mr RJA Sparks will retire as Lead
Independent director with effect from the upcoming AGM on 30 October 2019.
He will remain an independent member of the board and will assume the
chairmanship of the Social and Ethics committee with effect from 1 January
2020.
The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Mr Sparks for his dedicated
service to the Company as Lead Independent Director and the diligence with
which he fulfilled this role.
The Board is pleased to announce that Mr GW Dempster has been appointed to
succeed Mr RJA Sparks as the Lead Independent director with effect from 30
October 2019.
