UPDATED TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2019
Shareholders are referred to the trading statement published on the Stock Exchange News Service of the
JSE Limited on 25 September 2019 and are advised that the board of directors of Ecsponent is reasonably
certain that the financial results for the year ended 30 June 2019, when compared with the published results
for the 15-month period ended 30 June 2018 ("Comparative Period"), will differ as follows:
* earnings per share ("EPS") is expected to decrease to a loss per share of between 24.60 cents to 22.71
cents, as compared to the EPS of 9.465 cents for the Comparative Period; and
* headline earnings per share ("HEPS") is expected to decrease to a loss per share of between 13.34
cents to 11.94 cents, as compared to the HEPS of 6.991 cents for the Comparative Period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by
the Company's external auditors.
