Additional proforma financial information relating to trading statement
Further to the trading statement released on SENS on 24 February 2020, the following additional
proforma financial information is provided for comparability purposes. The proforma financial
information excludes the effects of:
1. IFRS 16 Lease Standard for the six months ended 31 December 2019 ("current period";) and
2. the reversal of the previous IAS 17 Leases for the six months ended 31 December 2018 ("prior
comparative period').
Earnings per share ("EPS")
Statutory:
EPS of between 765,0 cents to 717,2 cents for the current period, compared to EPS of 956,2 cents
reported for the prior comparative period. This represents a decrease of between 20% and 25%.
Proforma:
* Proforma EPS of between 902,6 cents to 852,5 cents for the current period (excluding IFRS 16
Lease Standard), compared to EPS of 956,2 cents reported for the prior comparative period. This
represents a decrease of between 6% and 11%; and
* Proforma EPS of between 902,6 cents to 852,5 cents for the current period (excluding IFRS 16
Lease Standard), compared to a proforma EPS of 1 002,9 cents for the prior comparative period
(excluding IAS 17 Leases). This represents a decrease of between 10% and 15%.
Headline earnings per share ("HEPS")
Statutory:
HEPS of between 777,8 cents to 729,2 cents for the current period, compared to HEPS of 972,3 cents
reported for the prior comparative period. This represents a decrease of between 20% and 25%.
Proforma:
* Proforma HEPS of between 917,1 cents and 866,2 cents for the current period (excluding IFRS 16
Lease Standard), compared to HEPS of 972,3 cents reported for the prior comparative period.
This represents a decrease of between 6% and 11%; and
* Proforma HEPS of between 917,1 cents to 866,2 cents for the current period (excluding IFRS 16
Lease Standard), compared to a proforma HEPS of 1 019,0 cents for the prior comparative
period (excluding IAS 17 Leases). This represents a decrease of between 10% and 15%.
Shareholders are advised that the additional proforma financial information has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company's auditors. The proforma financial information has been prepared for
illustrative purposes only, is the responsibility of the directors of Cashbuild and because of its nature,
may not fairly present Cashbuild's EPS and HEPS.
Cashbuild's interim audited results for the six months ended 31 December 2019 will be released on SENS
on or about Tuesday, 3 March 2020.
