Appointment of Acting Chief Financial Officer
Noteholders are hereby advised of the departure of the Acting Group Chief Financial Officer,
Mohammed Mahomedy and the appointment of Mark Gregg-Macdonald as the new Acting Chief
Financial Officer.
Transnet’s Chairperson, Dr Popo Molefe said: “Mahomedy steered Transnet through some
turbulent times, and leaves a legacy of good governance and sound financial systems.”
“His contribution to the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture provided great insight
into the impact of state capture at Transnet, and showed how he and others played a sterling
role in fighting corruption,” added Molefe.
Mr Mark Gregg-Macdonald will act as Group Chief Financial Officer whilst the process of
recruiting a permanent GCFO is underway.
The Board would like to thank Mr Mahomedy for his contribution and wishes him well in all
future endeavours.
