HUGE GROUP RESPONSE TO COVID-19
The board of directors (the Board) of Huge Group has noted and
applauds the announcements made by President Ramaphosa and the
initiatives which have been implemented in a nationwide effort to
“flatten the curve” in respect of COVID-19 infections in South Africa.
The Board fully supports the initiatives to protect human life, while also
ensuring that an efficient market economy remains supported. In this
regard, Huge appreciates its role as a telecommunications and
connectivity provider to the SME market, the financial services sector
and to its customer base as a whole. All operational entities have been
registered as essential service providers and are able to support the
telecommunications infrastructure and services on a nationwide basis.
The Board, through its executive management teams, have
implemented a variety of actions to protect its staff. Huge will continue
to implement such further actions as are required to protect the
sustainability of all Huge stakeholders.
The impact of COVID-19 on global and local markets is well documented
and the Board continues to monitor the situation closely. The Board will
make further announcements to shareholders in accordance with
regulation and upholding the importance of stakeholder engagement.
