CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In compliance with the requirements of paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements
of the JSE Limited, the Crookes Brothers Board (“the Board”) wishes to announce
the following changes to the Board of Directors:
Shareholders are advised that Dr Sharon Thembi Xaba (“Thembi”) has been
appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 23 April 2020.
Thembi has more than 20 years’ experience in the agricultural sector, focusing on
development finance, agribusiness development, agricultural financing and deal
structuring. She is currently the CEO of the Deciduous Fruit Development Chamber
(DFDC-SA) and serves as a non-executive director on various boards in the
agricultural sector. Prior to the DFDC-SA she held senior positions at the National
Treasury- the Jobs Fund, Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, and Perishable
Products Export Control Board (PPECB) to list a few.
Thembi holds a PhD in Business Management Administration and a Masters in
Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She also
holds post-graduate qualifications in Agriculture (Economics), from the University of
the Western Cape.
