NOTICE OF A CHANGE IN A BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN SPAR SECURITIES
In accordance with Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008, as amended, and
paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, SPAR shareholders
(“Shareholders”) are advised that, on 29 May 2020, the Company received notification that
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (“JPMorgan”) acquired a beneficial interest in SPAR securities (the
“Acquisition”).
Following the Acquisition, JPMorgan now holds 5.14% of the total issued ordinary share capital
of the Company.
Shareholders are further advised that, prior to the Acquisition, JPMorgan disposed of a
beneficial interest in SPAR securities, on 30 December 2019, which resulted in JPMorgan
holding 4.99% of the total issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
