On 23 July 2020, Moody’s Investor Services (Moody’s) confirmed the Ba1 Long Term Corporate Family
(CFR) Rating and the Aa2.za national scale senior unsecured Medium Term Note (MTN) rating of
Transnet SOC Limited (Transnet). Transnet’s Baseline Credit Assessment (BCA), a measure of standalone
credit quality prior to any assessment of potential extraordinary government support, has been lowered
to ba2 from ba1. The outlook has changed to negative from ratings under review.
