TONGAAT HULETT: CHANGE IN AUDITOR
Pursuant to section 3.75 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are
advised that at the Annual General Meeting earlier this year the Board undertook to
change the auditor for the 2022 financial year.
Following a market review and assessment of auditing firms by the Audit Committee
and the Board, the Board appointed Ernst & Young Inc. (‘’EY”) as the Company’s
external auditors, with Mrs Merisha Kassie as the designated audit partner, for the
financial year ended March 2022, subject to shareholders’ approval at the 2021
Annual General Meeting.
The audit services of Deloitte will end on completion of their statutory commitments
for Tongaat Hulett’s 2021 financial year, which is expected to be on or about 31 July
2021 where after EY’s appointment will commence.
