MTN to host a teleconference to discuss the announced industry-wide SIM registration audit in
Nigeria
MTN will host a teleconference on Thursday 17 December 2020, at 14.00 CAT, with investors and
analysts. This follows the announcement by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), on
9 December 2020, of its intention to embark on an audit of the Subscriber Registration Database in
Nigeria.
The call also follows a meeting between industry operators and stakeholders in the country,
including MTN Nigeria, the Minister of Communications and the NCC. This meeting was held on
14 December 2020 with the aim of providing more information on the NCC’s announcement and
charting the way forward in this regard. Subsequent to this meeting, the NCC released an
announcement on Tuesday 15 December 2020, which is available at the following link:

Thursday’s teleconference thus intends to provide additional context to the market on this issue, as
