PASSING OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE COMPANY
In accordance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of
directors of the Company (“the Board”) regrets to advise shareholders that Mr Amon Ntuli,
who served as a non-executive director on the Board, passed away on 8 January 2021.
Amon retired from his executive directors role in human resources and industrial relations in
August 2020 due to health reasons, after having given the group 42 years of loyal service.
Thereafter, he remained on the Board as a non-executive director and chairperson of the
social and ethics committee. Amon was a man of great integrity and his contribution the group
over the course of his career has been immense.
Amon also played an instrumental role in the trade union movement. Amongst his many
notable achievements he was the founding President of the South African Clothing and Textile
Workers Union and served as a member of the COSATU Central Executive Committee for
many years.
The Board, executive management and all staff of the Company extend our deepest
sympathies to Amon’s family, friends and colleagues.
